We picked up the motorhome in Chitose and headed to Toya Shikotsu National Park, where we spent our first night by the lake and went hiking on Mount Tarrumae.
Then we visited the Ainu museums (Shiroi and Birotori) before hiking in the magnificent Daisetsuzan Park and the roof of Hokkaido.
In Wakkanai, we took a day trip to the beautiful island of Rebun and then travelled along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk.

After a few days and several hikes in the beautiful Akan Park, where we were able to attend the magnificent traditional Marimo Matsuri festival, we moved on to Kushiro, where the Japanese cranes were beginning to arrive for the winter.
We travelled back to Chitose by road, and the last day of our motorhome hire arrived…
→We had no difficulties and thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Hokkaido with El-Monte motorhome hire.
