This roadside station is home to the Sea of Japan hot-spring bath “Kashima no Yu,” a heated pool, the dining cafe “846,” and a local produce market (tourist information center), making it a great rest stop and relaxing spot on your drive. In spring you can view the cherry blossoms in full bloom along the nearby Sato River. Kashima Island, long cherished as a “devoted couple” island, is home to the Monument of Happiness, a well-known power spot, and offers a stunning view of the sunset over the Sea of Japan.
