Shirasaki Marine Park Auto-Campsite
Basic Information
Shirasaki Marine Park is one of Wakayama Prefecture’s most popular natural parks, known for the striking contrast between its white limestone cliffs and the deep blue coastline. Beyond marine activities such as diving, snorkeling, and sea kayaking, the park offers three types of accommodation – log cabins, container cabins, and an auto-campsite – for an outdoor experience quite different from what you would find in the city. It is also a well-known Michi-no-Eki (roadside station); its signature dish, kamaage shirasu-don (boiled whitebait rice bowl), won the Michiguru Award at the Michi-1 Grand Prix, a nationwide contest to determine Japan’s best roadside-station food. Even visitors without marine gear, or those with lodging already booked elsewhere, can still enjoy the park through day-trip plans and day-camp options.

Please display your parking permit where it is visible on the dashboard.– Open fires (except when using a fire stand), karaoke, fishing on the grounds, swimming in the sea, and climbing the rocky bluffs are prohibited.– As this facility is located close to the coast, please be aware that strong winds can occur on certain days. |
