This long-established inn, with a history spanning more than a century, features Rendaiji Onsen, one of the hot springs of Shimoda in Shizuoka, and is known for its distinctly traditional Japanese architecture. Both the exterior and interior were crafted by artisans skilled in temple and shrine construction, and the building’s appearance draws many guests. Another defining feature is its ten different types of baths, designed to make the most of the hot spring’s mineral qualities and therapeutic effects. Being close to the sea in Shimoda, guests can also enjoy the beach, marine sports, and sightseeing boat cruises.
