Hotel Amamiyakan sits within a 10-minute drive of Hakodate Airport, and Goryokaku, one of Hakodate’s most popular sightseeing spots, is only about 15 minutes away by car, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. In late August, the Yunokawa Onsen Fireworks Festival, held alongside the local squid-fishing season, is a well-known summer tradition. Yunokawa Onsen has been cherished as one of “Hokkaido’s Three Great Hot Spring Resorts” for around 360 years, dating back to the days when Hokkaido was known as Ezo, and remains beloved by hot spring enthusiasts today. The large communal bath uses 100% source water from Yunokawa Onsen on a continuous-flow basis, and even the cold plunge bath uses fresh, continuous-flow well water, letting guests fully enjoy this renowned, pristine hot spring. The large banquet hall can accommodate up to 100 guests, making the hotel a great choice for group trips as well. Parking is coin-operated, so only compact RVs can be accommodated — please contact the hotel in advance.
