Located in Aomori Prefecture, this is the northernmost campsite on the main island of Honshu. There is no charge to use the site, and drinking water and a cooking building are available. On clear days, nearby Cape Oma offers views across to Hokkaido, stretching from Mt. Hakodate to Cape Esan. As the tuna statue at the cape’s memorial spot suggests, tuna is the local specialty, and visitors can enjoy fresh tuna in the fishing town of Oma.
