An auto-campsite in Ashino Park, known for its ties to the novelist Osamu Dazai and its scenic lake. Ashino Park is celebrated as a cherry blossom destination, with around 1,500 cherry trees lining the lakeshore. The grounds span 80 hectares and include a museum of local history and folklore as well as a small children’s zoo. A defining feature of this campsite is that it is open free of charge, with cooking areas and clay ovens (kamado) available at no cost. A hot spring can also be found at the nearby welfare center, making bathing easily accessible close by.
